Volunteers of the Month
Stacey and Brian have been chose as our UpsideDown Moments Volunteers of the month! Read below to see how they made an impact and contributed to our mission!
Mother and Son Team Collect for UpsideDown Moments!
Stacey and her son Brian have been collecting Squishmallows and backpacks brimming with essentials from Leesburg Community Church in a heartwarming display of community spirit. Their mission? To bring comfort and joy to local children in need. By turning ordinary moments into extraordinary acts of kindness, Stacey and Brian exemplify the UpsideDown Moments mission. Their dedication not only brightens young lives but also strengthens the bonds within our community. Thank you both for dedicating your time to this, and to the partons of Leesburg Community Church for your donations!
UpsideDown Moments was thrilled to participate in the "Community on Purpose" event at Claude Moore Park.
The students of the FBLA Community Service Chapter at Stone Bridge High School volunteered their time to support us! With our own booth at the indoor recreation center, we had the opportunity to connect with community members and bring greater awareness to our mission. Surrounded by local small businesses, nonprofits, and educational groups, we engaged with attendees eager to learn about volunteer opportunities and the resources available in Loudoun County. The event was a vibrant mix of indoor exhibits and family fun activities, complete with games, food trucks, and a Donation Drive. Being part of this community-focused gathering allowed us to strengthen our bonds within the community and highlight the positive impact we strive to make.
Thank You Nick!
Nick, a dedicated Boy Scout, generously contributed eight hours of community service to UpsideDown Moments. He tirelessly moved bags to our storage area, carefully sorted bins, and took detailed photographs of all the toys for our inventory system. Nick's commitment and hard work greatly enhanced our organizational efforts, making it easier for us to serve the community effectively. His exemplary service embodies the true spirit of volunteerism, and we are incredibly grateful for his invaluable contributions to our mission.
A Huge Thank You to Floris United Methodist Church!
Floris United Methodist Church has once again made a heartfelt contribution to UpsideDown Moments by collecting two large bins filled with clothing. These generous donations will be provided directly to children in need within our community. The church's compassionate efforts not only supply essential items to those less fortunate but also exemplify the spirit of giving that unites us all. We are profoundly grateful for their ongoing support, which empowers us to continue our mission of transforming ordinary moments into acts of extraordinary kindness.
We Asked, You Delivered!
In a heartwarming display of community unity, local residents banded together last week to donate a plentiful supply of coats and jackets to UpsideDown Moments for children in need across Loudoun County schools. These generous donations will provide much-needed warmth and comfort to students as the colder months approach. Two dedicated LCPS liaisons, Rosana Nguyen and Holly Angle, promptly picked up the collection of warm outerwear, ensuring it will be distributed immediately to those who need it most. This collective effort not only meets a vital need but also exemplifies the compassionate spirit that defines our community!

Vehicles Empowering Hope
Exciting news! In November, we officially launched our Vehicles Empowering Hope (VEH) Program, and we're thrilled to share that we've already assisted with three car repairs! We also provided one individual with a bike.
You can support our "Vehicles Empowering Hope" program through a variety of ways. We are currently seeking repair shops and towing companies interested in partnering. Additionally, we are seeking driving schools or other qualified individuals to assist former foster youth in acquiring their driver's licenses. If interested please fill out the form via the button below and indicate how you are interested in helping. Additionally, donations are always welcome in order to cover the costs of the program.
Toy Drive!
This holiday season, we're calling on our amazing community to make a real difference in the lives of young adults who have aged out of foster care—an often overlooked group facing unique challenges.
On December 14th, UpsideDown Moments is hosting a Free Holiday Shopping Event where these young parents can select gifts for their children and experience the joy of giving. By donating toys and gifts, you're not just giving items; you're providing a sense of independence and joy during this special time of year.
How You Can Help:
Donate Toys & Gifts: We've curated an Amazon wishlist filled with fantastic and popular items. Feel free to choose from our list or donate gifts of your own choosing!
Drop Off or Deliver by December 12th: To ensure everything is ready for the event, please have your donations dropped off or delivered by this date. When purchasing from our wishlist, you can have it sent directly to UpsideDown Moments.
