Volunteer of the Month
We are delighted to honor Melinda Solley as our Volunteer of the Month for UpsideDown Moments! Melinda spread the word about our back-to-school drive, helping to raise awareness and rally community support. In addition to her efforts in outreach, she also contributed supplies, ensuring that we had everything needed to support the children in our care. Melinda's dedication and generosity have made a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for her commitment to our mission. Thank you, Melinda!
4th Annual Kyrus Charities Golf Tournament
We're thrilled to announce that UpsideDown Moments has been selected as one of the nonprofits supported by the upcoming Kyrus Charities 4th Annual Golf Tournament on September 6th. This exciting event promises a day of camaraderie, competition, and philanthropy, all aimed at making a positive impact in our community. As a beneficiary of this tournament, UpsideDown Moments will be in attendance to share our mission and connect with fellow supporters. We're incredibly grateful to Kyrus Charities for their generosity and commitment to making a difference, and we look forward to a fantastic day on the green in support of our cause. See you there!
Twenty-three filled backpacks have been delivered to the Loudoun County Department of Family Services Caseworkers for distribution to children currently in foster care! Thanks to the generosity of our community, each backpack is packed with essential school supplies, offering these children a sense of normalcy and readiness for the school year ahead. This collaborative effort highlights the power of community support and the difference we can make together in the lives of those who need it most. Thank you for your continued dedication to making a positive impact!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Susan and Tracy for their incredible help in sorting our donation items. Your time and effort made a huge difference, and we couldn't have done it without you. Your support means so much to us and the families we serve, and we're so grateful to have you as part of the UpsideDown Moments community. Thank you to all our volunteers for your generosity and hard work! You can spend quality time with friends and contribute to your community by signing up to help sort.
Your Support Makes a Difference!
This month, UpsideDown Moments had the privilege of providing essential items for two different newborns, ensuring that their families had the support they needed during this special time. Our ability to assist these families is a direct result of the ongoing generosity of our community. Each donation, no matter the size, plays a crucial role in making a difference in the lives of those in need. We are deeply grateful for your continued support, which allows us to extend a helping hand to families during their most important moments. Thank you for being a part of this mission!

Additionally, we are seeking driving schools or other qualified individuals to assist former foster youth in acquiring their driver's liscense. If interested please fill out the form via the button below and indicate how you are interested in helping. Additionally, donations are always welcome in order to cover the costs of the program.
Thank You!
Local Girl Scout Troop 2212 has truly warmed our hearts by making and donating a beautiful collection of hats and scarves to UpsideDown Moments. These handmade items will be distributed to children in need, offering them warmth and comfort during the colder months. The dedication and care that went into crafting each piece reflect the true spirit of giving, and we are incredibly grateful for their contribution. Thanks to these thoughtful young volunteers, we can continue to support children in our community, ensuring they stay warm and cared for this season.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our school supply drive! Because of your generosity, we were able to pack 50 backpacks filled with essential supplies for students in need.
Special shout-out to Melinda Solley Realtor at The Solley Group for her incredible fundraising efforts and to our amazing volunteers—London (representing her Girl Scout troop 2212), Kenneth, Kelly, and our founder Becky—who worked hard packing each and every backpack with care. Also, thank you to the Loudoun school for Advanced Studies for once again generously opening their space to us. Your support will make a big difference for these kids as they head back to school, ready to learn and succeed. We couldn’t have done it without YOU!
